Production

Lugansk Tube Plant came into operation in 1913, producing about 2,100 tonnes of pipes with 0.5" and 1.5" diameters in the first year. Pipes were welded in coal-fuelled heating furnaces.

The first ERW mill "10-76" was commissioned in 1963. The Plant fully switched to high-current welding technology in 1972. As of November 2010, Lugansk Tube Plant had produced about 9.8 mt of steel welded pipes over its lifetime.

At the moment, the Plant operates seven ERW pipe mills with total production capacity of about 500,000 tpy. The equipment includes:

ERW pipe mill No.1 "20-108" with 121,860 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • water and gas pipes to GOST 3262-75, Du 40 - Du 80, up to 12 m long

  • ERW longitudinal pipes to GOST 10704-91, Du 10705-80, 51-180 mm outer diameter, up to 12 m long

  • square ERW hollow sections to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 50x50-80х80 mm as well as rectangular ERW hollow sections made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 60x30-100x60 mm, up to 7 m long

  • square and rectangular hollow sections made from fine-grained constructional steels to DIN EN 10219-1.2, 50x50-80x80 mm and 60x40-100x60 mm in sizes, as well as round pipes 48.3 - 108 mm, up to 7 m long

  • welded steel pipes made to TU U 27.2-00190802-026:2007, with 47.3-107.9 mm outer diameter

  • welded steel pipes for metalware with 47.3-108 mm outer diameter or 50x50-100x60 mm cross-section made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003

ERW pipe mill No.2 "20-76" with 83,560 tpy capacity and a product mix of: water and gas pipes to GOST 3262-75, Du 25 - Du 50, up to 9 m long

  • ERW longitudinal pipes to GOST 10704-91, GOST 10705-80, 51-76 mm outer diameter, up to 9 m long

  • square ERW hollow sections to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 50x50-60х60 mm as well as rectangular ERW hollow sections made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 60x30-80x60 mm, up to 7 m long

  • square and rectangular hollow sections made from fine-grained constructional steels to DIN EN 10219-1.2, 50x50-60x60 mm and 50x25-80x60 mm in sizes, as well as round pipes 33.7-76.1 mm, up to 7 m long

  • welded steel pipes made to TU U 27.2-00190802-026:2007, with 33.7-76.1 mm outer diameter

  • welded steel pipes made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003, with 33.5-76.1 mm outer diameter

ERW pipe mill No.3 "20-76" with 53,260 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • square steel pipes made to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 25x25-60x60 mm, up to 6 m long

  • rectangular steel pipes made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 28x25-60x40 mm, up to 6 m long

  • square and rectangular hollow sections made from fine-grained constructional steels to DIN EN 10219-1.2, 25x25-60x60 mm and 28x25-60x40 mm in sizes, up to 7 m long

  • welded steel hollow sections for metalware made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003, 25x25-60x60 mm in sizes.

ERW pipe mill No.4 "10-60" with 39,330 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • water and gas pipes to GOST 3262-75, Du 20-Du 32, up to 6 m long

  • square ERW hollow sections to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 20x20-25х25 mm as well as rectangular ERW hollow sections made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 28x25-30x20 mm, up to 6 m long

  • square and rectangular hollow sections made from fine-grained constructional steels to DIN EN 10219-1.2, 20x20-25x25 mm and 28x25-30x20 mm in sizes, up to 6 m long

  • welded steel pipes made to TU U 27.2-00190802-026:2007, with 24.3-40.7 mm outer diameter

  • welded steel pipes for metalware with 24.3-42.3 mm outer diameter or 20x20-30x20 mm cross-section made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003

ERW pipe mill No.5 "17-37" with 25,530 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • water and gas pipes to GOST 3262-75, Du 10-Du 25, up to 6 m long

  • welded steel pipes for metalware made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003

  • square ERW hollow sections to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 20x20 and 30х30 mm as well as rectangular ERW hollow sections made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 28x25-40x20 mm, up to 6 m long

ERW pipe mill No.6 "27-89" with 106,100 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • water and gas pipes to GOST 3262-75, Du 20-Du 65, up to 7 m long

  • ERW longitudinal pipes to GOST 10704-91, GOST 10705-80, 51-89 mm outer diameter, up to 7 m long

  • welded steel pipes made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003, with 26.8-75.5 mm outer diameter

ERW pipe mill No.7 "12-38" with 46,950 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • water and gas pipes to GOST 3262-75, Du 15-Du 25, up to 6 m long

  • ERW longitudinal pipes to GOST 10704-91, GOST 10705-80, 76-178 mm outer diameter, up to 6 m long

  • square ERW hollow sections to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 20x20 mm and 25х25 mm as well as rectangular ERW hollow sections made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 30x20 mm, up to 6 m long

  • welded steel pipes for metalware with 21.3-30.9 mm outer diameter or 20x20-30x20 mm cross-section made to TU U 27.2-00190802-024-2003

ERW pipe mill No.8 "76-168" with 171,06 tpy capacity and a product mix of:

  • ERW longitudinal pipes to GOST 10704-91, GOST 10705-80, 76-168 mm outer diameter, up to 12 m long

  • square ERW hollow sections to GOST 8639-82, GOST 13663-86, 80x80-140х140 mm as well as rectangular ERW hollow sections made to GOST 8645-68, GOST 13663-86, 140x70-180x100 mm, up to 12 m long

  • welded steel pipes made to TU U 27.2-00190802-026:2007, with 108.7-128.3 mm outer diameter
